Gur Designs offer full-service and part-service interior architecture and design - from site visits, initial concept, to technical drawings, sourcing, procurement, amendments and final styling. The design process is done in stages where the client can chose to follow through with all stages from beginning to end or only use our services for one stage whether it be the initial stage or the final.

We tailor our services to every client’s brief and budget, always aiming to maximise value – we understand that every project is unique and requires an individual approach.

Phase 1:

INITIAL STEPS

Phase 1 is the initial phase of the project where clients communicate with us what their vision fo their space is. Sometimes, the plans have already been done for their spaces but don’t necessarily work and our job is to find a perfect solution.

During phase 1 we go through all the plans and drawings and discuss with the clients what they wish to achieve with their space in terms of configuration, usage and storage solutions. We then conduct a site visit to better understand the existing space. Following the visit and discussions we generate initial drawings with a variety of options for the client to pick and chose from. We then amend and adjust the plans, with more meetings until the client is fully satisfied.

During this phase we also produce 3d visual models and renders to allow our clients to really understand the space that they have. We understand that for most clients storage is very important. We discuss and offer and the possible storage solutions to maximise both space and storage spaces. We integrate clever tricks into our designs such as using angles and curves to allow the space to feel bigger and welcoming.

Phase 2

THE BUILD

Phase 2 of a project is everything that is involved during the build.

During this phase we discuss with the clients and go through the various options for sourcing. We gain a deep understanding of each client’s aesthetic preference and expectations. Budget and quality are important to us so we aim to maximise quality and reduce expenses. In addition to the widely known brands for sourcing, we also have very strong relationships with craftsmen of various trades. This enables us to deliver a truly bespoke service and design freely according to the clients brief.

We take charge of site management and work closely with the client’s choice of all who are involved in the project. We are very experienced in collaborating with builders to be able to amend plans according to unforeseen structural obstacles that may arise during this phase. This may result in spaces having to be reconfigured but we will definitely find a solution that will work structurally, spatially and aesthetically.
